lovely quiet place with lots of facilities for kids

The place is located on the outskirts of the forest, next to the road linking Lissieux and Livarot - both being interesting touristic magnets. There are many different accommodation possibilities; all of them provide opportunity both to relax on the spot or make some trips around (it's not even far from the seaside). The area is big, green and very tidy. Kids have ample amount of grass to play (+ some playground) close or far from parents - depending on the preferences. One can relax under sun or in the shade. There is charger for your electric car on the site, thus even more relaxation is possible. I can comment only on the accommodation option we were using - adapted circus wagon. This was lovely place, full of charm and surprises (the shower cabin is inside). Three people could manage this space with ease, yet one must remember circus wagon is not spacious. Small terrace allows for fantastic eating outside. Eating inside poses no problems. It is perfectly possible to cook own dishes, yet the space is very small, so individual perception may vary. As the sun is not shining directly at the wagon, it may be very comfortable during hot weather. Many heaters make sure it is good also for the cold times. I'm guessing here as we visited during temperate week and did not experiences neither heat nor cold. The host is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast served is amazing - especially when enjoyed on the terrace. Food quality is superb and the choice of fruit jams mind boggling. Luckily one can buy some on the spot as it is virtuality impossible to taste all of them.

From start to finish, the hosts made everything very easy for us, especially as we were travelling with our young daughter. There was a warm welcome to the property and a guided tour. The property was in perfect condition, with everything you could need and has a fantastic location. We couldn't have asked for anything more.

The room was seperate from the hosts house & it had a lovely garden to relax in. The delightful & vibrant host did not speak much English but successively communicated by a translation app. It would make a good base to stay several days to explore the area.

Each morning, Anne and Fabien supplied us with fresh eggs from their own chicken coop, farm-fresh natural yogurt, and delicious farm bread, rolls, croissants, and brioche. Their homemade jam was mouth-watering and satisfied my early morning sweet-tooth cravings. It was a joy eating our breakfast on the patio in the early morning sun. This absolutely started our day with a smile as wide as Normandy itself just before we hit the road on our daily explorations and discoveries. Anne and Fabien were welcoming, hospitable, and extremely helpful as we looked at maps together, and they showed us the best routes to places we wished to see and made some helpful recommendations of their own. We wished we could have stayed longer. The region is full of cider estates - Route des Cidres - and cheese factories where visitors can take tours of the facilities and taste the specialties before they buy.
