It is a self catering property, but with everything you could want. Fridge with little freezer box, toaster, microwave, kettle, gas hob. The host had even provided coffee, cookies and milk in the fridge, so that we could have a drink on arrival. There were fresh wild flowers in the kitchen and the lounge and plenty of cleaning products, in the light of our stay post-Covid restrictions (May-2021). I sent a text to the host with our anticipated arrival and received an immediate response regarding details of keys & access. The Cottage is beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean, with lovely fresh towels & linens. Our dog loved being able to stay with us and kept to the ground floor, happy on his own bed, as requested by the host. This is a fantastic little cottage, perfect for one couple. The neighbours were very helpful in suggesting a lovely morning walk for our dog, just up the road. There were a variety of dvd films and books for visitors, good wifi and a clear information pack for guests. The property was very quiet and with blackout blinds to provide privacy and a good night's sleep. Just a short 20-25min drive to the area in Leeds that we were visiting. Perfect for our stay! Cosy sweet cottage. All facilities you require. Enjoyed the stove fire but it was warm enough without. 15-20 min drive to Harrogate.

St.Mary's Cottage was an ideal place to stay while visiting Yorkshire. The house was very well equiped and was cosy & warm. It was peaceful at night thus ensuring a good nights rest.

This Castle was £70 cheaper than staying in a B&B in York, it was a no brainer and didn't disappoint. The location is amazing being just outside York ,so worth the journey . On arrival the grounds are stunning you can see the attention to detail by the ground staff. Checkin was easy and we enjoyed a drink outside as couldn't believe the temperature for late September. The room was spotless and had a very comfortable bed . We ate at the restaurant in the Castle and as young as the staff are they coped very well given how busy it was with every cover taken so make sure you book a table when booking your room. Food was amazing so don't loose the Chef, he's a keeper. I can't remember the name of the young Barman /Waiter might have been Daniel, excellent member of staff for being just 18yrs old and nothing was ever too much bother. Breakfast was as expected just Perfect and we both liked the cosy downstair restaurant and again staff were attentive . The owners have invested a huge amount to maintain this castle and saved many in my view priceless woodworkings within the castle so would highly recommend a visit here .
