I spent a weekend at the farmhouse with two friends. It is a very beautiful and peaceful location, and is very isolated with great stars at night. If you want to get away from it all this is the place. It is surprising to find somewhere so remote in Southern England. It is possible to walk to the nearest village where there is a shop and a couple of pubs, though this requires a reasonable level of fitness and suitable map (and I would say not possible in the dark - certainly not when it is as wet as it was when we were there). We had a great lunch in The Bear. It's probably advisable to take most of what you will want to eat and drink with you. There are plenty of other walks in the area too. The kitchen is well equipped. The beds were comfy, shower was good and the house was very warm.

Vanessa and Russ were very friendly and helpful hosts. The cottage is located in the centre of Bisley with easy access to beautiful walks. There was no need to move the car which was perfect for us. The local pub was also very friendly to us, the children and our dog.
