the location was great and it was a quiet peaceful area with great views of the sea upstairs. the sofas were really comfortable and the kitchen had great appliances and cooking utensils. Host provided good directions to get to the property and parking was nice.

well equipped cottage, nice location, some great walks nearby not far from coastal path. two good pubs worth a look Smugglers Inn and Springhead not far away.

provided wood & paper to start the fireplace. spacious living room & equipped kitchen. loved that it had those skyline windows around the house. provided cool selection of books, board games and dvds to watch but we couldnt quite figure out why the tv had sound but no picture when we played the dvd but the local tv had a nice movie on that night so we were good. had hot jacuzzi in the backyard. about 20min drive to durdle door/lulworth cove. A big guide book of attractions etc was provided in the kitchen that helped us add to our bucket list.

We loved this luxury lodge. It was clean, bright and airy, and super comfortable. It had everything we needed to self cater (though we brought our own coffee machine as I can’t be without a good coffee in the morning!). It had a sunny patio with a table and seating, a grassy garden for the dog, and good parking. Dogs are not allowed upstairs, so we slept in the downstairs bedroom. The lodge is on a private drive off a track which is a direct footpath up to the South Downs Ridgeway, above the white horse with astounding views right over the bay to Portland. We walked over to a lovely pub in Sutton Poynze this way. Osmington itself is extremely pretty, and has a cafe at the dairy which does fabulous soup and snacks. You can also walk right down to a stony cove, the coast path and another great pub at Osmington Mills. The circuit from Osmington, to Sutton Poynze, along to Osmington Mills and back (including two pubs and the dairy cafe) is roughly 10 miles and one of my favourite walks of the holiday.

Andrew offered us an earlier check in which we didn’t really need but easy to obtain keys and entry to the house with clear instructions given prior to us arriving. The house is amazing and the facilities incredible. The pool ,hot tub, sauna and steam room for our own private use made the stay perfect, so that even on the wet stormy day we had it really made no difference to what we did. The pool table was well used. Great films on offer in the lounge and board games too. Lovely welcome hamper and absolutely spotless. Towels and milk, basics for kitchen and loo rolls etc. Got shopping delivered on the first day and spent most of our time in the house. Big enough that we each had loads of space to spread out. This is somewhere we will definitely come back to- felt like a spa stay in a fancy hotel- so very relaxing and days filled with lots of chill time. Five minutes to the beach which was great for our dog and a couple of good restaurants tried while we were there, although ate at home mainly. Andrew was on hand by phone at any time and the whole experience was just what my family needed after a very hard few months. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this stay and have already shared details with friends who were very jealous of our few days away! Great way to start 2024! Thank you.🤗
