Great place to unwind. Peaceful location, excellent garden with numerous vantage points to watch feeding birds. Buddhas placed in various places to indicate this is a calm location, ready for stargazing at night or sunbathing during the day when we did not fancy a drive to any of the numerous coves on Lizard peninsula. When weather was not that good, a well equipped kitchen beckoned (a big thanks for the welcome hamper, it really hit the spot after a long drive). The property has a good broadband connection, as well as a big selection of CDs and DVDs (the latter library catering for parents as well as for the children). We particularly liked the abundance of walking maps, leaflets and books, giving us necessary information for visiting nearby places (coves, gardens places of interest). Whilst everyone staying here will at some point visit Kynance Cove and walk to the Lizard Point, we really liked a leisurely 40 min walk from St Keverne to Porthoustock Beach through the woods (the view to the sea from the starting point, St Keverne churchyard, was special in the early afternoon sunshine). Thoroughly recommended.

This small, but so well planned stable was a perfect base to explore the Lizard point. It had everything you could want, from the shower wet room, to the most comfortable bed, quirky kitchen, to comfy sofa. Just a stones throw from Porthallow beach too. There are hooks to hang wet suits, and a tumble dryer if needed. The Five Pilchards pub is just down the road for food and drink 😁 There is even a return bus once a day into Helston, such a pretty drive. There is a skylight in the roof so you can lay in bed and watch the sky. I will definitely be back!

Small traditional english Inn with really nice rooms. We hat a marvelous room with perfect bed and a nice view out to the sea. The area ist extremely remote and quiet. The restaurant serves good food with a variety of seafood. We liked our stay very much.

Fantastic place. The cottage itself was very spacious, clean and well finished/equipped. The host was very welcoming. Location is ideal for local walks/visits and as a base for further day trips.
