Self-made breakfast and dinner by Cecilia was amazing, traditional food, fresh fruits and whole grain bread - we loved it. Smiley and Cecilia spoke English very well, we learnt a lot about the culture and living. We especially enjoyed the two tours we did with Smiley - Volcano Sibayak at sunrise and Batak village and market. Mery and Abdy go above and beyond to help you during your stay. Besides explaning all the facilities/activities in the village, there are options to have delicious breakfast and diner at the homestay. We did the Gunung Sibayak volcano tour together with Abdy, which was fantastic. You will explore the volcano during sunrise, learn a lot about the surroundings and laugh with Abdy.
