Truly a hidden gem in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Bukittinggi. 1. The location is close to famous tourist attractions (Pasar Ateh or Ateh Market, Los Lambuang for Kapau Rice, Jam Gadang, Lubang Japan, etc.) and also famous and legendary culinary attractions in Bukittinggi (Pical Sikai, Pical Ayang, Ayam Pop Family Benteng, Itiak Lado Ijo Ngarai, etc.), within minutes' walk. Because it is only less than 1km from Nizar's house. 2. The house itself is very beautiful (even though the building looks like an old building but is very well maintained), clean, the house smells good (as soon as you enter you can immediately smell the fragrance). I felt like I was returning to grandma's house. 3. The hosts, both Bang Danang and Uni Neli, were very kind and accommodating. He even allowed us to leave the car, because we wanted to stay overnight in Sawahlunto.

I was really glad to have found this homestay which is in a quiet residential area just 100m off the main road and just a 10-minute stroll to the clock tower. The best part of this homestay has to be the host, Mr. Hasri and his team who instantly made me feel so welcome and comfortable. As other mentioned, Hasri had lived and worked in Europe, so he understands the few crucial things most of us look for while traveling, namely a comfortable bed which is neither too hard nor too soft, clean beddings and room, good water pressure and plenty of hot water for the shower, a strong air-conditioner for the hot and humid weather, a hearty homecooked breakfast, and someone who can provide more information on the attractions and food options in and out of the city center. I will definitely return to Villa Copenhagen for my next trip to explore the hiking options in Bukittinggi.

We were in the family room. The guy at the reception was so helpful and kind!! Everything was good and a little tip, make sure to order something at the warung they work with because was one of the best fried rice 👍🏼 nice sunset view from the roof!
