Perfect location to explore sacred sites , however Butterfly Cottage dwells on its own beautiful and mystical land complete with secret gardens , stone circles and a labyrinth!! The setting was very nice, with close to all the attractions of the Mullingar area but in the countryside. The host's husband, who was filling in while she attended to family matters, was very friendly and even gave us a tour of his hurling stick manufacturing and shop. It's a gated yard, so it felt very secure, and the breakfast area had everything you needed for a little snack or a good start to the day!

Bright large room with a twin and full bed. Very clean with a spotless private bath. This is a self catering breakfast. The hosts provide multiple options and separate the refrigerator into a shelf for each room. Our host Tony was attentive and provided helpful directions to our next destination.

Property was beautiful An hour drive from Dublin perfect setting- gotta get out of the city - this is the perfect spot The accommodations were fantastic and both our hosts were terrific!! We will definitely be back - this was the kids favourite spot other than ashford castle!!
