The place was very nice and clean. Loved the dog Gianni who came to greet us. The only issue was the driveway which is so steep that our car almost couldn't get up.

We really enjoyed our stay at Il Monastero! It is located in a small village not far from Volterra and we came by car. We were very lucky, we booked the smallest apartment (Lavande) next to the street and were upgraded to the bigger one with two floors closer to the garden (Olivo), as it was free, which was great, thank you very much! Everything was in the apartment that we needed and everybody was so friendly. It was quite hot weather, but the apartment was nicely cool, so we didnt even need the ventilator which was offered for us. We were almost the only ones in the residence, thus it was very quiet at the pool and no one was sitting at the terrace next to us (which belongs to the apartment next door). This made our stay very relaxing and it is very beautiful inbetween the olive trees, with the big pool and garden. In the village, there is a small restaurant, which we liked a lot. We would definitely come here again, especially in one of the apartments with own terrace and garden (like Girasole) next to the pool.

Whole apartment was very clean. It was located in really beautiful environment. It is possible to go by foot to San Dalmazio. Overall very authentic Toscan experience.

Very clean and spacefull room. We even had a small fridge and a microwave and few plates, bowls and glasses for each of us. There is a nice terrace for each floor room. The breakfast is continental-we had every day 3 types of cheese, 2 types od dry sausages, tomato, 3 types od jam, honey, nutella, butter, yogurt (plain and fruit), boiled eggs, muesli and cereals and at least 3 types of desert cake-crostata, chocholate and fruit biskvit cakes. Orange juice and plain water are also available. Everything was very delucius. Coffee and milk is served and you get as many as you like... The pool area is enough large, there is some table tennis and table footbal free of charge. We had a very nice vacation and will defintely come back
