I stayed in a quadruple room. Bed was comfy with a nice soft duvet and pillow. It’s a clean and new hostel with a friendly host. Fantastic shower. Well equipped kitchen and it was easy to prepare my own breakfast.

I loved Shin Makamo and will definitely return. The view of the river from my room was spectacular. Everything was spotlessly clean. The staff was helpful and amazing, even helping me with my broken suitcase and recommending cafes and places for dinner. Whenever I went to the main desk, the staff was friendly and helpful, even though I had to use a translator since I don't speak Japanese. The spring baths were amazing and there were many time slots and privacy so I could use the bath every day. The location is excellent, as it's right on the river and it is easy to walk around to visit the temples, bridges, parks, and everything the small city of Itako offers. A large grocery mart is about 1km, and a cafe is two blocks away. On the back street is an amazing restaurant where I had dinner twice. The train station was about 1.5 km from the hotel. I loved that everything was in walking distance.

A good location for a hassle-free getaway in Tako, Masugataya Ryokan is a ryokan surrounded by views of the garden. The property features a terrace, bar, and private parking among other facilities.

I spent 2 weeks at this wonderful traditional Ryokan, not far from Narita airport. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful and I thoroughly enjoyed my short holiday at this cozy little Inn and the quaint town of Tako. Everything I needed was within walking distance, and the transportation options to Narita town and to the airport (by public bus) were super convenient. I promised the family who ran the Ryokan to return to their facility early in the coming Spring and I intend to make this my "base camp" for any future excursions to explore this beautiful Country. I highly recommend this little Inn to anyone who travels to Japan via Narita airport ; weather for business or pleasure. Thank you again very much for their generous hospitality. - Very local small town located near a beautiful lake with ducks and swans. We enjoyed exploring the countryside and the local towns around. Excellent access from Tokyo. Very affordable price. - The view from the bath facilities is amazing. Futon beds are soft and comfy. - The building was warm and cozy. The food was nice. - Tennis court rental is available.

Just in front of the scenic Naritasan Shinsho-ji Temple, Wakamatsu Honten is a charming local property featuring large public baths and nonsmoking Japanese-style rooms with free WiFi.

The location on the Narita omotesando, in front of the Naritasan temple. The staff was great, the room and the common bath perfect. Very good Japanese food. Enjoyed it a lot. Great if you need a stop on the way to/from Narita as airport.
