We had a group of 5 people and stayed in the Deluxe family room. Everything was clean and prepared for our arrival and the staff showed us around all of the facilities and explained everything to us in English as we did not speak much Japanese, Not all of the staff spoke English, however anytime we had a query that required it they would always help us to speak with someone who did which was extremely helpful. The room itself was extremely spacious and came with 2 large beds and 3 tatami beds that were setup for us when we went for dinner. The room had all of the amenities that you could need and also gave each person a yukata and sandals that could be worn around the entire site. The balcony overlooks the bay and other areas on the island and is very beautiful, particularly at sunrise and sunset. The food for both dinner and breakfast was exceptional. The staff were extremely attentive and explained each of the courses to us in English and were always on hand for even the smallest request. There is a fantastic walk on the top of the island that is accessible via the main lift and is a brilliant spot for photographs or just to relax in the quiet although the staff explained that it is closed when it is dark so make sure not to miss out on it if you are interested. The site has both indoor and outdoor Onsen's which are rotated between Men and Women each day. These were extremely well kept and have all of the necessities for showering beforehand etc. These were absolutely the highlight of the accommodation and I would thoroughly recommend that everyone uses them at least once during their stay. The boats to and from the mainland can be arranged with staff up to every 15 minutes and they can also arrange a free taxi shuttle service from the dock to the train station nearby I would also just like to mention about how exceptional all of the staff were. We felt welcome from the moment we set foot on the boat to the moment we stepped back off it.

The onsen in a cave experience was so soothing and relaxing. One could listen to and watch the waves while bathing in the warm healing waters. Also the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Oohatta especially came to my aid to help me with my travel logistics the following day. The whole atmosphere is calm and welcoming. I also enjoyed taking a ferry from the Katsuura pier to get there. No complaints at all.

Midtown Sakura Apartment House is a brilliant choice when deciding where to stay in southern Wakayama prefecture. Location wise, I found it relatively easy to walk through the pedestrian tunnel to Kii-Katsura station when travelling around. It is easy to get to the popular Nachi Falls. The property itself is really good value as there are multiple beds, a private bathroom, table, and kitchen. I slept comfortably. Lastly, the host was phenomenal in being proactive with check in and helping with any requests. I would strongly recommend staying at this apartment house.

Nice staff. The room was quite spacious. The feel of the guesthouse is cool and oriented to art. There are laundry facilities and we enjoyed good Japanese style breakfast. The location is great since it is very near the station and within walking distance to everything needed. Good value. They also received our luggage. Downstairs there is a nice restaurant.
