Gems is a wonderful location that is rig by at the start of 90 mile beach. The beach is expansive and the appearance of wild horses made it special. Accommodations are very comfortable for an overnight stay or longer. A great location in Ahipara!

The location is so magical overlooking the sea you could see out to the 90 mile coast. We were lucky to see dolphins swimming was such a wonderful stay. The hosts were wonderful. Will defintely recommend and of course be back again.

Large park motel unit. Clean and well equipped kitchen. Plenty of space in the two bedroom unit with comfy sofas in the living space. Large deck with outdoor table was a bonus. The grounds are beautiful with lush tropical planting too. Right near 90 Mile Beach.

We love everything about the Heartland Eco Retreat. Immersed in nature, utter peace and quiet and Hamish is an awesome host. Secluded and private and has everything you need to be comfortable. No wifi, no t.v allows you to disconnect from the outside world and be present in all moments. We've stayed here a few times now and we're already looking to book again. Great location, walking distance to the beach. Typical bach and great for a large group of people. Nice outdoor area that was under cover. Great having a washing machine and dryer onsite to use.
