Pedro and Teresa were lovely people who really looked after us. The location of the house was perfect for Porto and also local swimming in the river Duoro. Make sure you ask Pedro to rent his kayak as this is well worth it.

Wonderful location and place, only 15 min from the centre, it gives you the opportunity to feel the city differently. I was going to row at the Infante Rowing Club, so I could walk there. I will be back.

From the moment we arrived at Elsa’s beautiful holiday home, we felt so comfortable. Not only is the setting magnificent but the warmth and welcome we received was incredible. Freshly baked pasteis de nata with a wonderful bottle of port greeted us. Everything in the home is as pictured and is even more beautiful than you can imagine. We were blessed with glorious weather so were lucky enough to take advantage of the pristine private pool. Our every last need was attended to, for example at the pool there were beach towels, loungers, and fantastic cooking facilities including a barbecue - all so perfect that we didn’t have to go down to the house to get forks or knives or glasses or anything for the kitchen and could spend our whole day relaxing poolside. The patio on the house offered incredible views of the Douro river and we loved watching the boats and rowers pass by. It is a very peaceful place and we could totally relax and enjoy the scenery. Throughout our stay as some personal challenges arose, Elsa was there to support us in every way with advice and a personalised courier service. Moreover she kindly spoiled us on the various occasions we had come to celebrate. Do not hesitate at all to visit this five-star property and experience.

It was a perfect stay. You can contact the host via booking.com chat or via phone. He answers quick, speaks fluent english, is very polite and offers you help, whenever needed. The appartment is equiped with two beedroms, bath, kitchen, washroom, huge livingroom and balcony. You will find plenty of space to park your car around the area and have your own place at the house' underground parking > but there it is tight. I really can recommend this place!

We enjoyed talking with our hosts, they respect the soul of the place, they made beautiful and confortable rooms in old buildings. Nice swimming-pool in a nice garden, fruits and flowers everywhere. The breakfast was great, healthy and delicious.

Let’s put it this way: I searched on apartments on one page and an identical search for hotels on the other. For the same price, we got three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a kitchen, washer and dryer, and a view to die for from an expansive balcony. There are sometimes reasons hotels can be preferred, but if you have a car and don’t want to eat out for every meal, this is by far the best way to go. They were also impressively responsive to a few questions we had even though it was managed remotely. Two big thumbs up!
