Rosa the host was so welcoming and helpful. The accommodation is a beautifully converted schist building, very peaceful. And the breakfast was a bonus.

The hosts made us feel very welcome and as part of their family. Wonderful breakfast under the lemontrees shade and very pleasant evenings in the pateo. The rooms are very confortable and very well decorated in sophisticated yet rural way. Everything still has that newly built feeling. The location is excelent for those who look for walking trails, river beaches, local food and relaxation.

This place was absolutely amazing. The communication with the hosts was great before we arrived and they welcomed us when we arrived. We even got a few surprises, fresh fruits and veggies from their garden and a sweet treat. The windmill is fully equiped with everything one might need, the bathroom is super creative and comfortable and the bed is absolutely amazing as well. During the night you hear some animals outside, see all the stars and feel like you're in a fairytale. The outdoor area has plenty of seating and the river down the hill is fantastic for a refreshing swim. My partner and I had a small accident during our stay in a city nearby and Fiona was absolutely amazing and supported us in any way she can. In a country far from home, having someone to look after you was great and are super grateful for that. We'll definitely stay here again if we get the chance to do so!

Very spacious, comfortable, spotlessly clean. The owners are very accommodating, friendly, calm and lovely to talk to, made every effort to make us feel at home. A delightful experience which we would revisit quite willingly. The house is surrounded with excellent views and a truly safe, relaxing feel 100%

What a wonderful find a bit off the beaten track. Nita and her husband were very kind in greeting us though we came a bit late. The house is super comfortable, in a quiet neighborhood and included a bottle of wine that they produce. Breakfast in the morning was first rate. We learned about the making of wine and olive oil and didn’t want to leave.

The house is immaculate, well designed, has everything, well thought about when renovated, clearly owner cares a lot. Would go again, and the location is great right in the heart of the village, which just won best village in Portugal. Great stay and value for money.
