This place is worth choosing because of the host. He picked us up from the station without asking for it (free of charge) and gave us coffee/tea, explained everything about going to Bromo and etc. Very kind and helpful. The rooms are of budget standard, clean, bed was very comfortable. The price is reasonable. Defently recommend because of the host.

This property is absolutely gorgeous. After a long travel, I was so happy when I stepped into this homestay. The rooms are spacious and come with a beautiful outdoor shower. The living area is comfortable too and the kitchen area is great for working or making quick food/coffee. But most importantly, the host (Tommy) goes out of the way to make you feel welcome. He even helped me arrange for train ticket to my next location, gave me guidance on trip planning etc.

Harry's Ocean House Pacitan býður upp á gistirými í Pacitan og sameiginlega setustofu. Þessi heimagisting er með ókeypis einkabílastæði, sameiginlegt eldhús og ókeypis WiFi. If there is paradise on earth it is Harry´s Ocean House in Pacitan. Everything about it is beautiful. The dorm, where you basically sleep in the open, the common area, everything. It is a place where you will find chill people, can enjoy surfing with literally no people in the water (apart from the people staying at Harry´s and few locals) and not many other tourists. For me it is the spot to learn how to surf, since it is a beach break (safe), only few surfers, but still some good swell. It is perfect for relaxing and extending your stay to more than just a few days (I ended up staying a month). You can rent a surfboard and scooter for a really fair price (cheapest I have had in my travels). Tina and Gayun who run the hostel are super friendly too. I am already planning to come back at the end of my travels :)

My stay at Maher house was an amazing experience. The location is walking distance from Borobudur, a literal 1O minutes. And, in the same area there is a whole street of stores and places to buy food. Maher house is located in the village, which is great because you get to enjoy village life and maybe interact with the friendly locals. Plus, there’s a lot of cool chickens walking around. Maher house was very clean, and it had a very peaceful atmosphere. The breakfast in the morning was made fresh and it was delicious! Yusuf and his wife were great hosts, their main objective is for their guests to be comfortable. Thanks again!

Rumah Jawa Guest House (Syariah) er staðsett í Yogyakarta, aðeins 2 km frá Fort Vredeburg og býður upp á gistirými með garðútsýni, ókeypis WiFi og ókeypis einkabílastæði. It was a beautiful stay very different from the regular hotels and I would strongly recommend it to visitors coming to Yogya. The architecture is gorgeous, the place peaceful and the staff were so warm and hospitable, always ready with any help or information you might need. Even if you come without planning for a driver or tour, they would be able to arrange and it is slightly better priced than some online portals. The location is on a quiet street which is great for us. The breakfast is a wonderful spread which is served as an individual set in the courtyard garden when you are ready. Don't miss this! We had different menus on the 2 days we stayed.

Java Turtle Lodge Meru Betiri er staðsett 400 metra frá Rajegwesi-ströndinni og býður upp á loftkæld gistirými með verönd. Our stay was one of the highlights of our 2-months Indonesia trip. Java Turtle Lodge is an exceptionally beautiful place to stay at where they look after you and want you to have the best experience. Our villa was clean & comfy, showers were hot, food was delicious and the garden is actually my dream garden with a fish pond and hammocks. We had an amazing time on our Sukamade turtle trip. In all honesty, this was the most expensive trip we paid for on our trip, but it was so worth it. First we visited Green Bay for a little hike & swim, then we had a fun 2 hours jeep ride, deep in nature, to Sukamade beach. Later, we went to the beach to spot turtles who might come to lay their eggs. We were not lucky to see one in action, but we followed her way back into the ocean. We spent the night at the national park rangers’ post, which was a minimal room but had everything we needed. And the best thing… we released baby turtles in the morning. Everyone included in this trip was genuine and treated animals fairly. A much recommended stay and trip!
