Very nice owner who gave me lots of recommendations. I ended up taking his recommendation to go to Locarno and I'm happy I did. I had a great supper at Hotel Stella and went up the funicular to get there. Very cost effective. I was on a bicycle tour and was able to bring my bike in safely, though I did not tell the owner I was arriving via bicycle.

Beautifully restored hotel in an equally beautiful valley filled with old villages and endless vistas. Short drive off the highway made it the perfect stop on our way north from Italy. Owner was super friendly and thoughtful. Breakfast was also delicious. We will definitely be back!
