We had a lovely stay! Great location near Rincon de la Vieja national park. Cuddly, friendly dogs to pet. Great birding right from the front porch (an elegant trogon!). The stars at night were magical. Highly recommend!

The stay itself was fantastic. The room was nice, we enjoyed the little pool, breakfast was good, and it was in a peaceful quiet spot. The host though, saved our trip on its first day. I was trying to turn around in the driveway and got our rental SUV stuck in the grass against a tree, right away he called up some neighbours to help push it out. After I was so stressed and he offered his beers to help us relax. What a great guy, and great introduction to tico hospitality.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Good value, as it is pretty cheap. The size of our room was great for 2 with a decent size bag each and the wifi and tv worked great. The garage was very accessible and felt a lot safer than parking on the street.

The property is rustic style and very well kept, clean and comfortable beds, the cabin was beautifully arranged, gorgeous forest, a real sense of Puerto Rico rich farm land. Lovely hosts! They have a restaurant, and they serve delicious fresh prepared meals, just for you, great after long touring.

I LOVED everything about this place! Location was secluded, private and gorgeous and yet close enough to town, national parks and other attractions. You are surrounded by nature so beautiful sunrises and sunsets, butterflies are everywhere, hummingbirds come visit as well as many other beautiful birds. We got to feed and connect with the horses that wondered into the property, WOW! Our host Joe is truly one of a kind, he poured his heart into our experience, he took us to a nearby waterfall and lagoon where we swam all by ourselves! He filled his mud clay pond for us to use as many times as we wanted. Breakfast was delicious and was different each time! This place totally exceeded our expectations! I highly recommend Hacienda en Los volcanos, I know I'll be back!
