Great Hotel to stay at with fantastic restaurant and one staff member went out of his way to help us select our dinners, as we can't read Spanish.

So...when you are doing the Camino Primitivo, you are staying at albergues or hostels, very often in shared rooms. The Hotel Palacio de Meras is a four star hotel and only about €8 p/p more than a hostel if you are staying in a double room. We literally thought we were in the wrong place when we arrived. It felt so luxurious!!! The rooms are large and have all the perks of an expensive hotel - great quality soap and shampoo in the bathrooms, a two-sided adjustable make-up mirror, a hair dryer...a mini-fridge... It has a formal dining room, a bar and tables out in the plaza. The portions were insanely big and delicious. And the location is great. A block away from a supermarket, half a block from a pharmacy, and close to other key businesses like cafes, bakeries, and bars.

Tineo centro is located in Tineo, just a 5-minute walk from Iglesia de San Francisco and 600 yards from Museo de Arte Sacro.
