Cheap hotels in Vargas

I love these kinds of hotels in Spain, the rural and out-of-the-way ones, owned by a family, where the service and attention are extraordinary...and this hotel is right in that genre, a 10/10! The location is splendid. The reception is welcoming. The rooms and bathrooms are spotless, and the breakfast was terrific. I had the best chat with the owner over my delicious, cooked-to-order breakfast, talking about interesting things to do and see around the property, and then just shooting the breeze about life. It was both a lovely and connected experience, and is one of the reasons I love to travel and stay in places just like this. Highly recommended!

The price was great. Even though it was a hostal we had a private room and bathroom. The hostess was wonderful. She helped us with our suitcases going up the stairs. The beds were good and in the morning the host fixed us breakfast. They had the best coffee. As we were leaving he gave us a large bottle of water. Could have stayed there for a few days.

The host Luis was so warm and welcoming nothing too much trouble . Very helpful . Very dog friendly. So close to Santander Ferry a gem of a find . An amazing property and gardens with a lake. Rooms are in adjoining wing . Quite rural and definitely a little bit of paradise . Was so calming and peaceful . Would highly recommend.

I was delayed in my arrival and the staff were extremely accommodating in leaving the keys for me and checking me in. The room felt deeply clean, not superficially clean like many hotels. And the cafe is so cute and clearly a local hangout. I’d recommend it to anyone exploring the area.

Beautiful surroundings, amazing gardens

The breakfast was very good and the owners were very helpful and kind to us. The room has a countryside vibe with stone walls and wood but at the same time it's clean and equipped with all you need. We really enjoyed our stay and opportunity to rest there on our way through Cantabria

The hotel was a beautiful oasis in an otherwise very quaint and rural village. The view onto the surrounding valley was gorgeous. Service and staff was impeccable.

We've really liked this apartment, it's very cozy, bright, fully equipped and the large terrace with awesome views was a big bonus for us. Totally recommended!
