Extra thanks to the host who provided a warm welcome, with extras: such as wine, fruit, milk ... Very clean. Excellent house linen, accommodation. The house was very tastefully decorated also thanks to the hostess. It felt like "coming home" with a holiday feeling. Attention was paid to every possible detail. Super clean, plenty of parking. Very kind host who speaks fluent English and was accommodating of our late arrival time. The room was more like a private family suite with multiple rooms and a refrigerator (with milk!). Breakfast was amazing (cereal, bread, muffins, yogurt, boiled egg, etc.) We loved how the cups were the size of our faces.

What a privilege to stay in this wonderful old house! We found nothing else like it at such an affordable price. It is truly gorgeous with its old-fashioned charm, and the games, tennis court, table football and great swimming pool meant that there was plenty for kids to do at the house even on days when we didn't do an excursion. We also loved the big dormitory bunkroom where all the kids could go together: that made it even more exciting for them, like one big sleepover. The modern kitchen was very handy and other bedrooms were plentiful and a good size. The rural location was lovely and the wildlife quite beautiful. The lack of light pollution also made for a wonderful evening lying on the grass and stargazing. There is a boulangerie close by for fresh bread, as well as some lovely walks. But overall the best thing was the house itself: so beautiful, with its wide stone staircase and timber beams, and in its wooded grounds, and its lovely period furniture and paintings on the walls.
