Breakfast was really good. We have stayed here before and breakfast included a different jam each time - all made locally and very tasty. Fresh baked goods from the local bakery - fantastic! Very good value too. Exceptional host - very helpful and friendly. Secure parking, wifi, loads of space and great location. Very peaceful - sleep really well here.

We really enjoyed our stay at l'Escapade during the Easter holidays! Children loved the opportunity to spend time around farm animals, we even got free eggs from the local chickens! The holiday house had everything that we needed for our 1-week long stay, there is even a raclette grill! Bedlinen and towels were also included. Electric radiators around the house meant we could regulate the temperature as we pleased. We found the owners very welcoming, they gave us space to enjoy our stay as a family but also provided us with tips and advice on what to do in the region, perfect. We would definitely recommend l'Escapade for anyone considering a holiday in the Somme region!

A very central Abbeville location, in a grand old building, right by the riverside. A free parking space was on the road just outside. Florence met me with the keys and gave plenty of info. There a five flats, all opposite her own residence. Mine was essentially ground floor, with a small kitchenette and bathroom on that level, and then a double bedroom on a mezzanine level. The decor is very modern, despite the age of the building. The shower was powerful and hot, and the bed very comfy. There was a small cooker, and microwave etc. in the kitchenette. and there were enough utensils and pans, should you want to cook (though not enough for complex meals!). The heating was on at a comfortable level. I didn't meet Joseph but Florence was very friendly and informative. It's also pet friendly (6 euros additional) so my big dog Colby was happy. I shall definitely stay again as it's well situated for the channel crossing and Abbeville is a sweet town.

Only difficulty was key code for lock box sent by email - we didnt have access to email whilst travelling and unaware it had been sent as the booking form stated we would be met by host. However, the host responded very quickly to our telephone call on arrival to let us into the property.
