One of the best places that I have ever stayed! If you are planning to stay Alsace region and if you have a car then La Ferme de Grand Mere is the best choice that you can make. The place is located 30 min from Strasbourg and a 1-hour drive to Colmar. Super clean, ( I mean it, you can't find any dust even if you search for it) has everything in the kitchen for a long stay, fast wifi, a super comfortable bed, and very warm during winter time. The place has also free parking in a very secure area for the car. Now about hosts. They are amazing! Very kind and very helpful people. WHATEVER you need they will do their best to provide you with the most sufficient information and help. P.S. I have read one comment about an "uncomfortable pillow" from one of the guests. Not true at all. On the bed, there is 3 different type of pillows choose whatever you want or ask hosts they will help you with a NEW pillow.

The location was wonderful. Both rooms had a view of a stork's nest with (with young storks and parents). It's a quiet town, full of lovely wooden houses with beautiful gardens and a very chilled atmosphere. We only had one night's stay, as we were on route to Italy, but I'd love to go there for a holiday. It's a very relaxing place. The breakfast was brilliant - local produce and lots of it. The terrace is great. We arrived after a long drive from the UK and sat on the terrace with our books for a couple of hours. If you're feeling frazzled, this is the place to visit. Also, the shower was great and there's a lovely library to sit in if it's chilly outside.

The hosts received us very nice and gave us a lot of explanation on what's to see in the Alsace area, like real regional ambassadors. The appartment itself was very nice: modern, spaceous, and foreseen of about everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped and there was a big fridge too. Also nice to have a balcony to set on in the evening. Furthermore, the village where the appartment is, is really quiet, the neighbors (a nest of storks) were the only ones to be heard in the early morning.

Exceptional and pleasant atmosphere. Very beautiful and clean facilities. Very calm and cozy. The owners do their best to make you feel comfortable. Good value for money considering the facilities and the rest of the sector. Highly recommended.
