This is a wonderful place! It's beautifully quiet and the apartment is large, modern, and lovely. House is set in pasture land and the coast is within short walking distance. It's convenient to Mullhead and to the south islands, St. Margaret's Hope, the Churchill Defenses. Actually, with the size of Orkney Mainland it's convenient to everything. The owners are very pleasant and helpful and accommodating. Wish we could have stayed longer!

I almost never give a perfect score, but in this case, I feel I have to. Everything was perfect. We got a personal and warm welcome from the host. They provided a welcome package with snacks, drinks and local food. The chalet is in fact a small house and is brand new. very nice and cosy and well equipped. 3 large bedrooms, a great bathroom with best shower I have ever had. There is an open garden with a jacuzzi for 4 persons and BBQ hut will soon be available. great location to explore the ornkneys and kirkwall. highly recommended.

The location was great, central to both ferries. The property was fresh and new, very clean. There was everything we needed at the property, from towels to information regarding the area, to breakfast food for our first morning.

nice apartment located on hosts property, but very private. extremely clean and comfortable. really appreciated the washer/dryer after a week on the road. out in the country and quiet but very convenient location to see all on the mainland.

This a nice place, clean and organized. Big room and clean. Everything that is necessary is inside the room. The breakfast is fresh and good. We come back again there on the 19th of August.

Karrawa is a lovely home with a very comfortable guest room and an exquisitely appointed en-suite. Everything was so clean and Fyona was quite friendly snd welcoming. Our cooked breakfast was delicious. I wish we had been able to spend more time there.

The chalet was bright and welcoming and very clean. It was good to be greeted by a member of staff the day after our arrival to make sure we were ok. We enjoyed the view of the Churchill barriers and Italian Chapel and being able to bird watch from the window. It is quite close to Kirkwall and we can recommend the ice-cream shop next to the cathedral! It's a good idea to book ferries for day trips to other islands before you begin your holiday as they get booked up very quickly.
