Cheap hotels in Kariotes

I really enjoyed staying at Electra Suites on my recent trip to Samothraki! I only got to stay for two nights but will definitely go back next time I visit the island. Stelios is a generous host and went above and beyond to make sure I had a good trip– in fact, on my first day, he actually drove me around the island himself so that I could visit the Sanctuary of the Great Gods and Chora! Even with the language barrier, we had a pleasant time conversing via Google Translate. The other staff at the hotel were friendly and made me feel at home. Overall, a lovely group of people to spend a long weekend with. I value peace & quiet when I travel, and so I appreciated staying somewhere without street traffic or restaurant sounds that was still close to the amenities. Stelios recommended a taverna with good food about a five minute walk from the restaurant, and I went back there several times. The name was Sta Kala Kathoumena and the walk takes you through the church's courtyard. If you can, I do recommend renting a car or a motorbike to get around the island– I came during the off-season and didn't realize how limited the public transit options were. I appreciated Stelios taking the time to drive me around, but I also knew he was busy running the hotel! The taxi stand on the waterfront is an easy walk- bring cash. I also spotted a scooter rental on the main drag. I have trouble sleeping, and felt very safe walking around Kamariotissa at night while trying to settle my thoughts. Stay aware of your surroundings and carry a flashlight for visibility, as there are few sidewalks in the side streets and you'll want to quickly get out of the way when people are driving through. Wherever you are in the village, you'll be able to see Mt. Saos or the sea. Rooms: The rooms were very clean, comfortable and modern. The first night we were in a smaller room, but the next day we got a free upgrade, thanks to our kind host. The internet is relatively good (Starlink), there is a view to the sea. There is a shared kitchen, but it was always busy exactly when we needed it... The second room we stayed was a bit better, with large balcony and a nice shade from a tree. There was always hot water. Overall, we had very good impression and we may visit again. The hosts are really very nice and helpful.

Amazing property, excellent service from Sucratee and his team. The coffee shop downstairs is great.

A pleasant holiday apartment complex with six apartments, set around a spacious garden in a small village near the port, within walking distance of the ferry terminal, restaurants, cafés, rentals and a large supermarket. The complex also has its own covered parking. The spacious apartment has two levels. Downstairs are the living room, kitchenette and bathroom, while the upper gallery overlooks the living area and serves as the bedroom. The bedroom has a large wardrobe, desk and a large bed. The mattress is quite soft but comfortable. The air conditioning works very well, although the windows must be closed for it to operate. The kitchenette is well equipped with a large refrigerator, oven, stovetop, coffee machine, kettle and everything needed for cooking and eating. The living room has a large sofa, TV and dining table for four. The Wi-Fi is fast, strong and reliable. The spacious bathroom has a modern shower with solar heated water and even a washing machine. The apartment opens onto a small private patio facing the garden, with a table and chairs. A drying rack is also provided. The owner, Dukas, is lovely, always available by phone and happy to help. He is usually at the property from around 10 AM to 1 PM. His English is limited, but with Google Translate we had no problem communicating. A wonderful apartment, a lovely host and an excellent location.

Our stay in Samothraki was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, all the staff made us feel welcome. Everyone was incredibly kind, friendly, and always ready to help with anything we needed. A special thank you to Jelena, who was such a warm and delightful person to talk to. She gave us wonderful recommendations about the island and the places worth visiting. She is a strong woman with a big heart, and her kindness made our stay even more special. We also loved spending our evenings at the property. The owner's daughter made every dinner a pleasure with her friendly personality, great hospitality, and delicious drinks. She was always eager to chat and made everyone feel at home. This is the perfect place to recharge your batteries, relax, and enjoy some of the best traditional Greek food. Every dish was prepared by the Chef with passion and love, and you could taste it in every bite. I also highly recommend the breakfast—it was fresh, varied, and absolutely delicious. The property has its own private beach, where you can enjoy the crystal-clear waters of the Aegean Sea. There are some large stones in the water, so I recommend wearing water shoes, especially if you enjoy swimming. We enjoyed every single day of our stay and left with wonderful memories. We would gladly return and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Samothraki.

The location was perfect. The neighbourhood was quiet. The house has a very beautiful garden with olive trees, flowers, leanders and a mountain view. We enjoyed the coffee on the terrace during mornings. It was lovely ! The house was equipped with everything we need. We definitely recommend this accomodation.

Myesis is a family-run business with exceptionally gracious hosts! I arranged a surprise birthday trip for my boyfriend and Aris, our host, and his nephew, Yannis made the trip so special. They even arranged ordering and picking up a surprise birthday cake. I would recommend this stay for anyone visiting Samothraki. The apartments are clean, well stocked, with an exceptional view to the sea, and easily situated to access the rest of the island! I would love to visit again!
