The food was fresh, delicious and gave a homely feeling. The location was perfectly situated in the valley besides the Baspa river and surrounded by high mountains on all sides. during the visit we were welcomed by a good amount of snowfall and the tent provided a good protection from the cold weather outside. The staff was extremely friendly and even went far a beyond as to provide a heating source for us to spend the cold snowy night.

Location is awesome. Snow covered peaks are seen round the year. It is nested in an apple orchid. River Baspa is at walking distance. The village Rakcham itself is a delight to walk through. People are simple, warm and friendly. Very calm and neat. Staff is very friendly and cooperative. Caretaker Sumit is very friendly, and Kaushal ji cooks tasty and homely food. Kaushal ji prepared a couple of local dishes for us during our 3 day stay (apart from the usual north indian daal, chapati, rice, curries from seasonal vegetables). Try the locally grown Rajma, that kind is not found elsewhere. I found that these people are great travel advisors well for around the area. Chitkul village is just 30 minutes drive from this place. Good network availability from Airtel, RJio and BSNL. Avoid travelling in monsoons starting from the end of June to September. Visit in October to see the Apple gardens in full boom with full grown Red Apples.Keep woollens, evenings get cold while nights are bone chilling. Property is closed during winters due to snowfalls.
