Our stay was absolutely perfect. Deepa is a wonderful host. She helped us arrange activities like kayaking and canoeing, she and her family Made a range of delicious curries for us and she is also a really lovely and interesting person to talk to. This is a true homestay in my eyes and I learned one of the originals on the island. Maintained and managed by the family with such care and attention to detail. The room is spacious and bed is super comfortable, bathrooms have showers with hot water and everything you need is tended to by Appu. He provides amazing suggestions for more to do in Kerala, is a great tour guide (ask him about the choir factory!) and even helped me secure rides to and from their place. His mother also makes delicious meals and breakfast is included in the price, which is such a great deal! I felt very at peace with the nature and beauty of the place. They also offer canoe and kayaking, both are unique in their own way and worth it! And the lake is literally steps away from the place. Truly a gem!

This is a must try Heritage resort for family, couples and friends. We were well treated by the family with love and care. Didn't feel the stay is for business needs as we had spent good times with their utmost humanity and their local stories. They provided bicycles & scooter (free of charge )boat arrangements,local transportation and delicious homely food. As the property is new and just started,all the furniture is well good and new. Bathrooms are neat and tidy. Good fragrance in the room. Totally worth the money and must try. Thank you Anu and family for making this a wonderful and memorable trip.

The homestay was quiet, comfortable and clean. The property was beautiful as well. Our hosts were welcoming and caring. My husband was unwell and they were so supportive with nutritious food/snacks, offering to assist with access to medical care, and a ride to appt. They booked train tickets for us and even got us to the train in a neighbouring town when our train was cancelled. They had great options for exploring the backwaters, unfortunately we were only able to do the shikara boat but that was great! We are so grateful to have chosen this homestay.

    We were so well looked after by Premchand and his charming family. Their kindness was truly inspiring. Premchand organised boating trips and bicycles for us to explore the wonderful locality and noting was too much trouble. The property is situated in a very peaceful location yet close to the train station, local shops, a great cafe and the waterways. The facilities provide everything that one could need and are spotlessly clean. Breakfast and supper were delicious. I highly recommend staying at this charming homestay.

    We had an amazing stay that I would definitely recommend. Good location in beautiful Munroe Island. The family is so lovely and helpful. They booked a wonderful boat trip for us for a good price and helped us with the trains.The rooms are spotless! Home cooked dinner and breakfast is very tasty.

    Possibly one of the best hostel I have been so far in India. I was in a 6 bed dorm with air condition and the room was very spacious. Toilet was also big and very clean. Very cheap laundry and you can rent bikes to go around or kayaks. The view from the hostel is beautiful and you can observe fisherman nearby every morning. The host can provide with dinner and lunch since around the hostel there is not much. Munroe Island itself is super quiet and very relaxing so if you are looking for many activities this might be not your place.
