Barbara and her Husband are the nicest hosts you can imagine! Super friendly and funny to talk to, they gave us tons of good tips regarding sightseeing in Ravenna as well as dining in awesome local places. They have a few friendly cats and dogs, as well :) It is a super spacious, clean and beautiful apartment / studio with a fully-stocked kitchen. The studio is part of a farm a few kilometers outside of Ravenna, so you will need a car to get there. Of course, you can park your car on the property.

If we could we would give the place a 12 in character. We had a great stay at La Rotta. The place itself is incredibly beautiful with a very well kept garden and lovely pool. We loved that the place is not so big but more like a small "Boutike hotel" in the countryside, surrounded by vineyards. Nothing is missing here and Mattia and his family are very attentive to their guests and are super service minded. Thanks for you and La Rotta

the appartement is in an old landowner house, with a lot of character. It has a beautiful painted ceiling. For history lovers: the property is in the location where the battle of Ravenna took place at the beginning of the 16th century. There is a monument commemorating it at the side of the road. If you don’t understand who was fighting whom, it’s perfectly normal, Italian politics was awfully complex at the time :) For the French: Gaston de Foix fell in battle here.
