The hosts are really great. I traveled by bike and when I asked for a restaurant I was told the local ones are closed. So instead the lady of the house cooked me dinner. Just a great homemade meal!

We received a very warm welcome from Agostino, who even made us tea on arrival. He also recommended the nearby fabulous agriturismo, Le Vigne Ducali, for what turned out to be a wonderful evening meal. We had very nice breakfasts each morning. Agostino's wife kindly drove is to the station to catch the Trenino Verde. Their hospitality was superb.

Everything about this place was magical: gracious hosts, gorgeous setting and spacious rooms! As a bonus, they serve a delicious homemade breakfast and have an "open fridge" policy with the selection of local wines and spirits. Still dreaming of that courtyard with lemon trees :)
