New ZealandWhat an enchanting and charming place! The hillside residence is just lovely. The family that run it are absolutely delightful and couldn’t be more welcoming and helpful. The shower is the BEST!!! The balcony where we had breakfast each day is also a lovely spot to watch the sun go down. There is an excellent restaurant just next door and it’s only a short walk to town. Perfect

United StatesThe staff are very friendly. The place is gorgeous. Like a luxury hotel but so very reasonable. It’s a little away from the other hotels, but that’s good because it’s quiet. I had an amazing tour guide, Vong, who drive me all over for 2 days. If you need a great, English speaking guide, get hold of him. WhatsApp +856 20 55 556 522

The garden rooms are clean and beaitiful, its in a great location just behind the main road. Every night the family light a fire (in an old empty bombshell) in a shared outdoor kitchen for guests to sit around and mingle or relax. Cheap beers available, lots of good food options nearby. The location is just on the edge of town with nice rural views, but a short walk to restaurants. The pick up service from bus was also much appreciated. But the best thing was the friendly young man who run the place. He spoke excellent English and was extremely helpful. It is very basic, but clean, and scalding hot water which is important because there is no heating, and it gets very cold (night temp down to 4-5 degrees C) and I have to add 2 additional blankets at night to sleep comfortably. Location is good as right in town, but the town itself has very limited dining options. Owner runs good tour to Plain of Jars and organizes transport for you.
