It all depends on what you’re looking for, but I had a very nice stay here. The room was spacious and immaculately clean, as was the bathroom. The owner is one of the nicest people I've met; the beach isn't touristy and more of a fishing village area, but it's so authentic! The location is also excellent, with a 10-minute walk to the lighthouse and the city center or temple.

2 nights stay room have common balcony which give on to the beach view. beach is not touristic and more of a fisherman village area but it’s so authentic! breakfast is the best we had in Sri Lanka! wifi worked very well. location is great too about 10min walk to lighthouse and from city center / temple. relaxing retreat guaranteed. didn’t have much issues with insects in the room surprisingly

It's a nice place with friendly people. They do their best to give you a comfy and home feeling. I'm the second guest, so they are still in the try-out period. And they do it well! The owner brought me to a place for the breakfast and he brought me to the busstation. It's allowed to use the kitchen. Enough equipement. A good big bed. Everywhere it is super clean! The vieuw from the house is great, ocean vieuw. Its a short walk to 2 beaches, 1 even in a few minutes. Short walk to the lighthouse, to the harbor and just 1 kilometre to the center with a beautiful temple. The owner's friend (Priyankara) will assist you after booking immediately. Beautiful location near the beach, awesome people, very good atmosphere. Too bad I couldn't stay longer. I will come back and stay one week next time. There's also this juice bar right next to the homestay. It's lovely! You cannot find a better place in the area.

Upon arrival at Talalla Wonder View I was met by Darshani, the utterly adorable young woman who runs the establishment. Wonder View is a small, safe, family run establishment (just 2 rooms) that overlooks the beautiful crescent-shaped white sand beach. It is at the extreme southern end of the beach which is a lovely area. Wonder View has several thatched cabanas with comfy padded lounge chairs right on the beach where you can easily spend an afternoon or two or three. My room was small and basic but with everything I needed including an excellent mosquito net, fan, comfortable bed and an outlet to charge electronics. Between the fan and the slightly cooler nights, I slept well. The water pressure in the bathroom tended to ebb and flow but was fine for showering. There is no hot water if that is important to you, but you don’t really need it and personally I found the cool water refreshing. The rooms share a spacious terrace that overlooks the beach and it’s another great place to relax. Just don’t don’t leave any snacks unattended because there are monkeys that will pinch your food in a hot second! Breakfast, which was included, was provided at the family’s Tree Top restaurant next door. You will be served a substantial Sri Lankan-western meal that you can enjoy with a pot of tea or coffee while gazing out at the beach. Sweet! There are also other restaurants nearby for drinks and meals. Worth noting: the path to the beach and the steps up to the Tree Top Restaurant might be challenging for someone with mobility issues. A handrail on the path would help keep everyone safe. For the price, view, delightful host and beach access, Talalla Wonder View is fantastic value!

Gabi, the owner, is very kind and welcoming - always ready to help you! The rooms are spotless, well equipped and they are well isolated so the room keeps a good temperature even without using the AC. The basic breakfast provides fresh products and a good presentation. Finally the location is 2-3 minutes walking distance to the beach - on top of that you can also use the swimming pool.
