We had the most wonderful stay here, special thanks to our super friendly and helpful host, who made sure everything was perfect. The breakfast was very tasty and we got some nice coffee and tea during our stay as well. Thank you for your hospitality, we will definitely come back!

Good place to stay well within the budget. They offered us a free welcome drink too. The room was comfortable and private. The bathroom was clean. Safe vehicle parking is available.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Golden Residence during our visit to Kegalle, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm and friendly atmosphere that greeted us. The facilities at The Golden Residence were quite satisfactory, providing a comfortable and pleasant environment for the stay. The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and had all the necessary amenities to ensure a cozy stay. It was evident that the management takes pride in maintaining their property to a good standard. What truly set this stay apart, however, was the exceptional hospitality extended by the host. From the very beginning, they went out of their way to make sure that every aspect of my stay was enjoyable. Their attentive nature and willingness to cater to even the tiniest of needs made me feel truly valued as a guest. It was heartwarming to witness their dedication and willingness to go above and beyond to fulfill any request we had. I must emphasize that the level of friendliness and helpfulness displayed by the host is something I have rarely encountered in my travels. Their genuine care for their guests is commendable and truly sets The Golden Residence apart from other accommodations. The hotel is a great escape from a busy city. We love the colonial architecture and its comfort. The staff was nice, particularly the restaurant staff who took extra care of our meals. Mr. Brian was an amazing person who listened to our meal requests.

We felt very walmly welcomed and like a temporary addition to the family. Ravi met us off the bus in his tuk tuk and his family were there to greet us when we arrived at their home. We found the room very comfortable, loved the balcony space and the fridge! It's a tranquil place within a village so no shops or restaurants, just local life. Rebecca cooked delicious food and Ravi's mum showed us around their garden and all the fruit and medicinal plants. She is a very interesting and lovely lady. If you are considering staying here, don't think any longer!

The location is just perfect as the elephants come to wash and cool down in the river that the hotel oversees. Staff were absolutely amazing and so kind and helpful. Facilities - very nice. Really worth a stay!

מיקום מושלם בשביל חוויית הפילים. המלון ממש על הנהר ואפשר לראות את הפילים מתרחצים במהלך שעות היום מהחדר ומהמסעדה וגם לרדת, להתקרב ולהאכיל אותם. הצוות של העובדים חברותי וקשוב. עזרו לי עם צ'ק אאוט מאוחר. האוכל במסעדה היה מאוד טעים. החדרים גם טובים. מי שרוצה להינות מחווית פילים מושלמת זה המקום. גם הבריכה ממש מעולה.

The location was perfect to see the elephants. The elephants walked right by the hotel entrance. And the owners were extremely friendly and accommodating. We will definitely visit again!
