I just finished 6 weeks traveling in Sri Lanka, and this was my favorite stay of the trip! To wake up to singing birds and the sun rising over the misty mountains - it’s absolute bliss. The rooms are spacious and immaculate: they have a tea kettle and tea/coffee, A/C, a large bathroom, and a private patio with stunning views. There is also a common area for lounging and dining on *delicious* meals made by the chef. Wije is a welcoming manager who will share his expert knowledge on the area and help you arrange a tuk tuk for exploring the many nearby temples. I loved the place so much I wanted to stay extra nights, but they were booked - so the property host helped me find a place to stay in Kandy. I was traveling alone, so I was especially grateful for the extra care that the property staff took to make me feel safe and at ease. Stay here if you’re looking for a break from the city and an immersion into the natural and cultural wonders of the region.

Boscage Homestay was perhaps our best stay during our month in Sri Lanka. Felt much like a home away from home. Owner Sanjeewa, wife Hansi and son Oshane were amazing hosts. We shared meals and drinks over great conversation. Toured the neighborhood and met the neighbors. We even bathed in the natural spring in front of the homestay and just down the hill. Boscage (def: forest) Homestay is located in an upper middle class neighborhood in the hills surrounding Kandy. The interior of the home is like a museum of Sri Lankan crafts amd artifacts. The home is split into two floors, with the host family living on the first floor and guest rooms on the second. The two guest rooms are separated by a communal kitchen, dining and seating area. All areas of the second floor allow for sweeping views of Kandy and the surrounding hills amd mountains. The property is clean, comfortable, affordable and well situated above the bustle of town. As mentioned by other guest reviews, this is a homestay and not a guesthouse. This property would best serve guests who are interested in sharing experiences with a beautiful local family. Though privacy and independence are possible, it would defeat the intent of the hosts. (To Sanjeewa, Hansi and Oshane, we will be forever grateful for your hospitality and generosity! Ayubowan!)

Eine sehr schöne moderne Unterkunft mit toller Ausstattung. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Zimmer war super ausgestattet mit Wasserkocher tee und Kaffe, und das Bett war sehr gemütlich. Das Badezimmer war sauber, modern und es gab warmes Wasser. Morgen besuchen einen die Affen auf dem Balkon das war sehr süß. Das Hotel liegt an einer kleinen straße aber man hört nichts im Zimmer! Unschlagbar zu diesem preis wie würden immer wieder kommen!

Staff was really friendly , and great hospitality. Rooms were very much clean and neat and very much spacious. Would be ideal for someone who is looking for less noisy & relaxing time, with a lake view. And the location is very much close to the kandy temple of the tooth.
