Cheap hotels in Gauja

Our stay at this house was great. Nestled in a peaceful location, it offered the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The house itself was beautifully maintained and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

Location is amazing, near the lake and forest. Houses very warm, nice, cosy. Hosts amazng, friendly, supportive.

We had a room with spa bath, I can recommend that room, very nice.

What we liked We had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend this place to others. The location is great, the atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing, and the views of the lake are beautiful. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The accommodation had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was comfortable, the shower was spacious with plenty of hot water, and the kitchen was well equipped with dishes, an induction cooktop, and a full-size refrigerator with a freezer. This was especially convenient because we brought enough food and drinks for our entire stay and had plenty of space to store everything. Although our unit did not have a terrace, we had easy access to the garden area and often sat outside near our windows, which was lovely. The property is very peaceful, and seeing fishermen on the lake actually added to the charm and romantic atmosphere of the surroundings. Communication with the host was excellent. All our questions were answered quickly before arrival, and when our travel plans changed, modifying the reservation dates was simple and handled promptly. During our stay, we accidentally triggered the smoke alarm while cooking. We contacted the host immediately, and they responded very quickly and helpfully. Check-in and check-out instructions were also clear and easy to follow. It was also reassuring to see how professionally the neighboring accommodation was prepared for incoming guests, which showed a high standard of care and cleanliness. The area offers a good balance of nature and convenience. There are small local stores nearby, some within walking distance, and the seaside is only a short drive away. We also found the local people very friendly. Things to consider The bathroom is designed as part of an open-plan layout with curtains rather than fully enclosed walls and doors. This was clearly shown in the photos and was not a surprise to us, but guests who prefer complete privacy may wish to keep this in mind.

Communication was fast and easy, very service oriented, place was nice prepared and clean, feeling like to be a close guest visiting friends

Quiet place, very clean. Good place for dog owners. Next to a river, one kilometer to forest then one more to the sea. Owner very helpful.

One of the most charming places to stay – we’ll definitely be back!

Exellent price and quality ratio. Nice and clean apartment in renovated soviet multiflat house, comfortable bed , no noise..., everything is fine in general and its easy to go to Riga by train if the weather is bad..

Comfortable, clean, modern and beautiful house with friendly and super helpful owner. Location is great, the heating worked very well in February. We liked that there was no smoke from houses around, that can be a problem in Carnikava. We stayed for a week, it was very pleasant holidays.

The host is very nice and the cabin is new and tidy. Hot tub was great!

The owner explained at the fullest detail everything about the house, accesses, utilities and else.

Very beautiful place and well kept! Lots of flowers and plants on the terrace and around made the vibe really cozy. The biggest highlight for me was petting the baby goats! They were so friendly. The restaurant is very nice but food is a bit hit and miss. Bbq pork was very good though! The grounds are just amazing with a huge lawn and some farm animals you can visit, as well as renting quads for example. Lots of room for activities and great for kids as well. There's a small indoor play corner and a bigger one outdoors with slides. Clean rooms too and everything is quite new still.
