We got the split apartment, and it was newly renovated. The two bedrooms have their own bathroom each (with shower), which is very convenient. Comfortable beds and pillows and spacious bedrooms. The upper floor hosts a fully equipped kitchen and a spacious living room, with nice and comfortable furniture. There is a dishwasher but no washing machine. The house is situated in a farm in a small village about 25 min far from the centre of Groningen, so I recommend having a car if you want to stay here and visit the surrounding area and the city. The area is beautiful with many small towns.

Everything was brilliant! The welcome was friendly and professional. The room was big, comfy and beautifully decorated with a large double bed, sofa, TV etc. Every morning the breakfast was served when we wanted it, with what we had requested the night before; the home-made scones, cream, jam, waffles, croissants, and fresh farmyard eggs were all just so scrummy! We used their free canoe and enjoyed a sunset paddle. The shower room was very well equipped, and beautifully presented. The free off-road parking was very handy. The goats, donkeys and pet Dachshund were lovely to stroke and interact with, and the chickens and cockerels provided cluck-loads of fun! It was in a great location too - only 30mins from Groningen, and 40 from Ameland. It's a great place to use as a base to explore Friesland.

I stayed there on my 70th, got a welcoming committee singing "happy birthday" (Dutch version) to the accompanyment of an accordion.

Great to be able to do a BBQ. Parking in front of the door (house is in a quiet neighborhood, free street parking too). Friendly host. Large house all to yourself. Laundry is possible, worked really well. Good wifi. Nice large backyard to relax. Overall comfortable place.
