super clean great host amazing dinner& view

It was our anniversary and my husband and I both agreed that it was the best choice if you are seeking exceptional service with a personalized touch and peaceful, remote surroundings. Al Faruq (not sure of the spelling) was a wonderful host and met us punctually at the pick-up point and guided us into the desert. Upon arrival, we were treated to cold grape juice, dates, and Omani coffee in a spacious reception tent. Our tent was clean and tastefully decorated. We were invited over for a lovely evening meal where we took turns making bread over the coals and finished off dinner with a delicious cinnamon tea. It is of special note that the camp is run solely by solar power, the meals were prepared in excellent fashion by the men on staff and should you choose, camels and sleds are available for recreation. For us, being situated high up on the dunes, sitting on the sands, with gorgeous views of sunset, stars, and sand as far as the eye could see, was the best!

The location of this camp is absolutely perfect being so secluded. I stayed for two nights and really enjoyed everything. I highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a nice and quiet experience in the desert. They’ll send you a message the day before arrival with a meeting point (Google Oman Desert Private Camp Station) and time. From there you can either ride with them (15omr for two ways) or follow them in your own 4x4. There’s no wifi in the camp but there is 4g.

if I could give a score of 15 I would. Our host was wonderful from start to finish. We got excellent directions, when we arrived his son showed us where to park. Our host then met us and we had drinks and fruit and relaxed for a few minutes. We then went on a sunset camel ride up the dunes - highly recommended. He then took us to the camp site - and even drove our car up the dunes for us. We relaxed for a while and then he brought us a delicous dinner. It was quite windy and chilly so we appreciated the warm tent and comfortable bed with good quilts to keep us warm. The bathroom was nearby, with a flushing toilet and a sink and shower. In the morning we had fun climbing the dunes to watch the sunrise, and then enjoyed a delicious breakfast with Badr's two adorable girls helping him to serve. He then helped us drive out of the dunes. It was one of the highlights of our two weeks in Oman, I would recommend it to anyone as a very authentic Bedouin experience.

An amazing desert experience. There was one member of staff who slept overnight, who cooked a great dinner and breakfast for us in a Bedouin tent. The following day we had a Bedouin guide who took us further into the desert. He managed to find a variety of reptiles and mammals by following tracks and digging in the sand. We saw a lot more than we expected to and was very interesting to talk to somebody who actually lives in the desert.
