This was an exeptional stay! The whole Santa Fe is like a fairy tale place. It is not so touristy, but there is so many things to do in the area. La Qhia Eco Retreat was like a paradise for us. The whole area of the hotel is beautiful, hammocks with wonderful views, every evening they open a bar with cheap beer, the kitchen is fully equipped. A grocery store is just around the corner as well as an ATM. The best thing is the app they developed and you can use. You can find there all the handy tips from menu of local restaurants to the maps of hikes in the area. You can download the maps as offline maps and just follow the path. We totally loved our hike to Bermejo waterfall, but there are many other hikes as well. Thank you for this amazing job with the app!

Great Breakfast; from Orange Juice to Scrambled Eggs, Crepes, Cheese, Toast, Exotic Fruit: no wishes were left open. The location in the middle of the mountains is breathtaking! Sineth, the Cambodian Owner and Nathan, the Australian "Frontman" who cared for anything from Reception to Barkeeping, form a perfect team that simply makes your stay a delight. Tour proposals are part of the servide: a big book shows proposals to all those guests who don't like to stay all day long in the nicest spot of Santa Fé but want to see more ... one of the best ideas is a day trip to the Carrebean Ocean!

We thoroughly enjoyed the "simple supper" the night we arrived as we didn't plan to explore and find a restaurant. The delicious homemade breakfast the next morning was perfect!! We also enjoyed a much informative coffee tour by Celestino. It was nice to experience this mountain community as we have already resided in Panama for over 8 years also in another mountainous part of the country. Panama has so much to explore and learn about!!!
