I liked that you get best of both worlds for a hostel experience. The bedrooms offer some privacy, especially with the curtains drawn. The AC makes it feel comfortable and fresh even when it’s a heatwave outside. But then you also have a nice kitchen area where you bump into other people so you can have coffee, food and conversation together. The host was really nice and both hands-off and helpful! She shows you everything, the washing machine, bathrooms and helps you pick a bed and then wants to you feel like you are at home and just use it like it’s yours. And whenever you need something, you can call her up and she will at least try to help you. For me that was a very nice experience, meaning I felt like at home but also not like I was just left on my own to figure it out.

The hostess - Mirjam - was very very gracious. We were not certain of our arrival time because of a Lufthansa pilot strike and a visit with friends about thirty minutes away, Worse, Google Maps took us way out of the way and we arrived even later - about 21;15. I was afraid we would be met by an unhappy host. But, no! Mirjam greeted us with a happy smile nd complete understanding. She showed us around the very nice apartment. We did not use he kitchen or the day room but is seems well equipped. They beds, the bedding and the towels are very good. Also she has the best collection of maps and brochures for local attractions. The best I have seen at any other place, She is practically a one-woman tourist office. I recommend this apartment with no reservations. Mirjam, thank you for your hospitality. God bless you.

Breakfasts were exceptional- a huge selection of many kinds of foods, mostly homemade. Dinners were delicious home cooked five course meals (or less if that’s too much). Nice walks in the area right from the farm, and lots of other fun things to do within a short drive.

My girlfriend and I have been to over 20 countries and this booking was by far the most at home we've felt staying at someone else's place. The place was spacious, extremely clean, and the host was very welcoming, offering us coffee or a drink on arrival. The backyard makes the perfect spot for an evening sunset or morning sunrise view and is very peaceful. Not to mention, we stayed in the Tolmin area when a big heavy metal concert was taking place and we couldn't hear any of the music when inside. The place offers lots of space for parking (if arriving via car). WiFi was excellent. Kitchen well equipped. We would 100% come back again.
