Right opposite Two Rivers and Four Lakes, Guilin Rong Lake Aroma Tea House, formerly Jing Guan Ming Lou Museum Hotel, is located in the city centre. It features collections of ancient Chinese antiques, modern art galleries, a Chinese-style courtyard and accommodation with free wired internet access. The interior of the hotel captivated me at first sight, I'm a tea guy so I was definitely the target audience. The common area and dining space has great views on the city, the interior of the hotel is just mind blowing, and the best part was tea-making kit in the room in a separated corner of the room, high-quality black tea was provided. This is something I've never experienced before, at least not this high quality. I'll go back to Guilin, just to stay here again.

Offering a garden and mountain view, Dreamland Inn is located in Yangshuo, 6 km from Yangshuo South Bus Station and 6.6 km from Darongshu Scenic Area. Dreamland Inn seems like a new and family run business, the receptionist was really kind and knew how to speak some English which is not a requirement but always super helpful. They were accommodating and even helped us pay our climbing guide when we had issues. They had a complementary breakfast for us and always offered tea or water. The Inn is tucked away in a more village part of town but it had the most perfect view of the mountains. The room we stayed in had a queen bed and a patio where we just admired the mountains and rested on after a few busy days in Guilin and a rock climbing session. We had tickets to leave late in the evening and the Inn let us rent a scooter to drive around Yangshuo where we saw Moon Hill and a rock cave. When we got back we still had time to kill so they let us hang around in the dining area for a bit. They had just adopted a kitten and so we just played with it till we had to go.

Our stay at Guilin Village Creek In as been perfect! Would recommend 100%. The location is fantastic for anyone who wishes a break from the city and to enjoy a breathtaking view on the mountains. The town is not far anyway, about 10 mins by car. The staff has been kind and professional. They gave us great tips for activities in Guilin and the nearby area. They also helped us booking a show that was about 1.5h from the hotel as well as the transportation to get there. The room was spacious, clean and the view just stunning. Last but not the least the food: you must try their dumplings! They are made from scratch and I’d say the best ones we had in China!!

This place is very recommended!Very convinient! the room is clean and the host Kate is so nice. She helps us through out our stay for whatever we asked. I will book again if I come back to YangShuo!

Set just about a 5-minute drive from Reed Flute Cave, 2 km from the centre of Guilin City, The Beyond Villa Guilin Boutique Hotel sits close to Taohua River and is surrounded by greenery and silence neighbourhood. The property also provides a shared kitchen, tea class, cooking class, calligraphy class and Zen experience. My first in a min-shu in China. I usually stayed in 5 stars international hotel hence I was approaching it with apprehension. It surpassed my expectations and value for money. The customer service who checked us in, Xiao Liang is resourceful and helpful with ideas as we arrived with no plans for Guilin. She arranged for a good guide to bring us around for 1 day at a reasonable price. The guide brought us to see excellent view in Long Ji and Ping-An. Xiao Liang also arranged the cruise for us to travel from Guilin to Yangshuo. The best part was the LADY BOSS - very hospitable, friendly and gracious lady. She invited my husband and myself to a dinner she has arranged for her close friends! IT WAS EXCELLENT for 2 seniors travelling free and easy on the first night in Guilin! Their hospitality, warmth, resourcefulness made this an excellent stay. AND THE VIEW is good. Really had a quiet and stressless stay in this min-shu.
