Giselle (sorry if this is incorrect spelling) was an amazing host. Always making sure we had everything we needed and serving us a hot tico breakfast plus fruit, coffee & juice both days. Wifi & AC was very good, pool was small but nice to cool down and sit beside to read our books. Bed was very comfortable, room was clean. Good parking out front which is very close to the rooms. Easy 10 minute walk to town & beach. We would definitely stay here again!

They have a lot of info on activities in the area and the local flora and fauna. But most of all they make you feel at home and safe. I would definitely come again to spend some relaxing days at Raya in Matapalo! The location is just perfect, everything in walking distance 7‘ to the beach, 5‘ to famous and awesome Matapalo Supper Club Restaurant, another restaurant and the supermarket. 20‘ to the bus stop. And on the other side of the road: Angelo who takes you on trips with his lovely horses.

The hosts were warm and helpful, the property was spotless and secure, and the setting was beautiful. No A/C, but the cool evening temps made it unnecessary. Excellent breakfasts, accurate photos (though even better in person), and a great location—less than 5 mins to town with a restaurant and supermarket nearby. Highly recommend!
