We spent two nights at this hotel with our seven-year-old daughter. The reception staff were polite and very helpful. Just keep in mind that rooms are not ready before 15:00, so plan your arrival accordingly. We were pleasantly surprised when we entered our room — it was larger and even nicer than in the photos, with a perfect view of the lake. The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was exceptional for a three-star hotel in Germany. There was a wide variety of options, everything fresh and delicious. The same goes for the restaurant menu — during our two-and-a-half-day stay, we always dined at the hotel and never felt the need to go elsewhere. The restaurant also has a small play area for kids with toys and a smart screen, which is a thoughtful touch for families. The lake is stunning, especially when it snows, and the location is ideal for hiking. I highly recommend this hotel. And a little spoiler: when you check out, they give you a complimentary voucher for one of their special breads — a lovely way to end the stay.

This hotel is located in the Black Forest, 5 km south of the world-famous spa and casino town of Baden-Baden. It offers large rooms with a balcony. Lovely room. Big bed. Fantastic breakfast.

This hotel in Bad Wildbad offers large rooms and apartments, free Wi-Fi and views of the Sommerberg mountain. The town centre is a 5-minute walk away. The building and room were very clean and welcoming. We arrived late and called to check in, the process went smoothly and the owner was very pleasant even at a late hour. Breakfast was very good as well. The owner made us feel at home and gave us excellent advice on what to see around the town.

This fine 4-star design hotel is situated in the heart of the town of Villingen-Schwenningen, in the Black Forest. The Neckar cycle path runs beside the property, which offers bike storage facilities.... Amazing room, with super friendly staff. Very easy to locate the hotel and indoor parking right in front of the hotel. Highly recommended.

Situated a 10-minute walk from the railway station in Lörrach, this Art Nouveau-style villa with modern extension offers elegant rooms with private balcony and free wireless internet access. If Switzerland ever decides to enter the Olympics for organization, this hotel should coach the team. Check-in was so smooth I briefly wondered if they’d mistaken me for someone important. The room was spotless in a way that made me feel guilty just thinking about unpacking.
