Set in an idyllic location directly on the shore of Lake Chiemsee, the 3-star superior Hotel Schlossblick offers panoramic views and hearty Bavarian food. Good hotel to visit Herrenchiemsee. Everything was good during our stay, but a special mention has to made about the breakfast. At all my travels in hotels during 40 years, I have never seen such an abundant breakfast, enormous amount of choice, all fresh (also the scrambled eggs), top quality breads, jelly’s, fruits and yogurts. Even Hyatts, Hiltons and Marriott’s can learn something from this.

The location was very quiet, but in the small town of Ubersee, a short drive to Lake Chiemsee and about a 1 hour drive to Berchtesgaden National park.

If that doesn’t tell you that it’s quality… !! The WiFi was excellent and even reached the beautiful outside area, where we sat the whole evening enjoying the fresh air.
