This is one of the best property we stayed in Iceland. I knew i was keeping the best for last and it indeed was. Spectacular view, contemporary design with modern setup and top notch quality. Beautiful cottage with a fully equipped kitchen. They even had an egg slicer. You have a great view to the sea, the room was cosy and the water was hot. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer!

Breakfast was superb. Served by a lovely lady who prepared everything for us fresh that morning, a beautifully set table in the open dining space. The food was gorgeous, we loved the berry smoothie. We had a very warm welcome, the bedroom was wonderful, the bed was so comfy and we liked the Soley shampoo and gel in the shower! Such a gorgeous little town to stop in, they gave us a wonderful recommendation for dinner. We will definitely be back!

Out of 7 times visiting Iceland, we never stopped in Stykkisholmur - this was long overdue. I think we picked the perfect place to enjoy this town, as Monika was an outstanding host. We pretty much had the guesthouse all to ourselves, as a group of 7 people. We enjoyed all the nice touches from the owner, all the little extras like some food in the fridge, 2 types of coffee to choose from in the morning, and the games and books in the living room. We were a bit in a rush to continue our tour and head back to Keflavik the next day, which was our only regret as we could not enjoy the guesthouse a bit longer.

Located 6 km from Stykkishólmur, Helgafell provides a garden and free WiFi. All rooms feature a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom. Everything was really perfect 😌
