The surroundings are calm and beautiful to enjoy nature. The house is very well equipped, everything has been thought through for a comfortable stay. Modern and with great views of the lake. Comfy beds. Good communication through messages and recommendations to visit the area. We saw stunning auroras from here!

There isn’t much light pollution around, so we were able to watch the Northern Lights all night. The location also faces east, which makes it perfect for watching the sunrise.

Beautiful and quiet location even for several days, even a week. Fully equipped, comfortable and quiet apartment. Very calming view of the harbor. Wifi is also excellent for work. Parking is available at the back of the house at the end of the street right by the sea (you need to go around a block of houses, it's in the photo, but at night and in a blizzard it may not be immediately obvious).

SUPER CLEAN! there is groceries shop -walk diatance- 100m, harbor caffe 200m ( for breakfast ) quite place, check in super easy. definettly recomend!:)

Beautiful, clean and nicely maintained hotel right at the heart of the town. Wonderful staff. Special thanks to Monika, a sweet and friendly host who was ready to accommodate our last min request for breakfast. Amazing breakfast. Everything was perfect. Not a false note anywhere.

House located in a quiet area, opposite Kirkjufell (the remarkable place of the area), with a well-equipped kitchen and clean bedrooms and bathrooms. Monika manages a very orderly, pristine guesthouse, dirty dishes are cleared promptly and she is ever attentive to guests' needs or queries. We appreciated how clean, cozy & well stocked her shared dining/kitchen area is, ample servings of cereal, milk, spreads etc... If you're looking for a homestay that goes beyond self check-in & check-out with a personal human touch, Holiday Guesthouse is the cozy stay for you in charming, serene Styykishholmur....also appreciated the Icelandic pronunciation lessons! "Rekyaveeek", "Veeek" & "Olasveek"....Takk Monika!! 🫶🙂 P/S : Bonus supermarket is literally in Monika's backyard....convenient! 😋

Located 6 km from Stykkishólmur, Helgafell provides a garden and free WiFi. All rooms feature a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom. Amazing cabin in beautiful location. There are only 3 cabins set up in this location next to a small lake in front, the place is very peaceful and serene. Our cabin has everything we needed to cook a delicious meal after our long day of exploring; the bed and sofa bed were comfortable. The home was tastefully decorated and the owner was very friendly . We loved everything about our stay here and would definitely return!
