The hotel seems brand new, and the rooms are nicely set up with tatami mats and comfortable beds. Just like in a ryokan, you leave your shoes at the entrance. This gives the hotel a very cozy feel despite its size. The staff is extraordinary. I never had to wait to talk to a staff member and they were very helpful. The onsen is one of the best I experienced in larger hotels like this. It is a very nice oasis to come back to after a long day. I particularly liked that they also have a sauna. The location is ideal. There are lots of restaurants and bars literally right outside the hotel, the lake and the castle are both just a short stroll away. If I come back to Matsue, I will stay here again for sure.

Set in Uno, the recently renovated 視点定点 inn offers accommodation 21 km from Kyobashi no Kyokyakuato and 21 km from Hashihime Inari Daimyojin Shrine. The room was surprisingly spacious. The owner was also very accommodating to our request.

Very easy access self service and staff contact was excellent. Facilities were excellent. We only had the pleasure of one night but wish we had longer. Excellent having kitchen facilities and it was so close to everywhere we needed. Close to buses, restaurants and shopping.

The host, who is staying in the property next door, went over and beyond ensure we had a pleasant stay and provided great recommendations, even booked a dinner venue for us! We would highly recommend staying at Retreat Kobayashi, especially if you want to experience more authentic side of Japan.
