I had a single room with shared bath. The room was basic, but very comfortable and clean. I would stay here again . It is easy to get to from the train station. Goggle makes it harder than it really is.

We had an incredible stay with a stunning river view, where the green-blue water and private balcony made for a perfect escape. The room was comfortable, and my personal highlight was the handmade mugs, carefully selected by the owners at a local farmers market, showcasing beautiful Japanese ceramic craftsmanship. Sipping coffee while gazing at the river became a special ritual during my stay. It was a peaceful, authentic experience that I’ll always remember—truly the highlight of our trip!

The whole place was lovely and cozy, and the hosts were very helpful and responsive. We ran into some trouble (of our own doing), but they were very kind and made sure we had food and could get to the train station.

3.9 km from Sukumo City History Museum, みなと館 華 is a recently renovated property located in Sukumo and provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. Dinner and breakfast were good and delicious. The owner was very kind to fetch me from the station in the evening and he drove me back to the station in the morning in the rain which was much appreciated by me.

The house is clean and the host is very friendly with good communication before and during the stay. Around 20 minutes drive from Kochi city. The stay also includes a complimentary ¥500 per person for a bakery nearby. Recommended!
