Comfortable but with very tiny rooms. Unusual experience {which we liked} for a big hotel is that you must not wear shoes at any place in the hotel. All floors are carpeted with tatami mats, which are beautiful, but since this hotel caters a lot to tour groups, the front doors become jammed when a bus comes in and people must remove their shoes. Tour groups also bottleneck at the elevators and restaurant. Breakfasts looked great, but we wouldn't go when tours were lined up. Excellent coffee always available. Outdoor onsen was tiny (maybe 3 meters by 3 meters). Indoor onsen was large enough, but not hot enough. Great location with lots of restaurants nearby. Fantastic English-speaking staff. Dormy's HR Dept know their stuff. We'd stay again, despite the small rooms and small onsen. Visit the very old downtown onsen, Takegawara, , a must, and the seafront walk, Good bakery (Mermaid) at the train station. Liveely downtown area.

We stayed at Mangetsu room and it was amazing. The room is very clean and equipped with everything I need. The outdoor onsen is open air but still very private, it's totally recommended for couple. Staffs were very helpful and kind too. One more thing, don't turn away just because you see they don't serve dinner or breakfast in room. They do it with purpose that you will get the best view when you are eating. We wished we can stay longer and will come back someday.

こや・かやき se nachází ve čtvrti Yufuin Onsen v destinaci Jufu. Stadion Oita Bank Dome je 45 km odtud a Beppu vlakové nádraží 25 km. Hospitality at its finest ! they prepared a lot of snacks and drinks. The staffs are kind and the property is clean. We enjoyed our stay. The breakfast they prepare is delicious, if we visit yufuin again, we probably stay there again!

This is THE best place in Yufuin. It was really easy to check in. Yes it's a bit further away from the city centre which makes it a bit more difficult to get to if you don't have a car (you can walk it or take a taxi up there) but it has the most epic view of the mountain. There are two onsens that everyone at the hotel can use, but they are effectively private as once you are in them you lock the door and you can have them to yourselves. The water is fantastic. Refreshing and makes you feel very relaxed. I would stay here at the drop of a hat again. Also make sure you walk up to Oogosha shrine (only 5 mins away) where you can get the experience of visiting a HUGE cedar tree temple and a bamboo forest that is 10x better than Arashiyama.

The owners where super nice, the interior was amazing and it had all the amenities that you would expect in a hostel : ). And again owners where super nice 🙃 and had good tips for things to do in the area. (Also located at a walking distance to supermarket, restaurants, hells of beppu and onsen 🛀). Place was also good value for money

湯布院 おやど花の湯yufuin oyado hananoyu se nachází v dobré lokalitě ve čtvrti Yufuin Onsen v destinaci Jufu. I had an amazing stay in Yufuin! The accommodation was fantastic, with convenient parking and a private onsen. It’s particularly suitable for those traveling by car. If you don’t have a car, I recommend buying dinner to bring along, as the walk down to the village can be quite dark. However, if you have a car, it’s easy to drive out for food, as restaurants aren’t far away. The place itself was wonderful, and the host was incredibly kind. If I visit again, I’ll definitely stay here!

It was really great to have some prepared food and some to cook ourselves. All fresh and delicious. Good location with beautiful views. Very relaxing and loved some of the smaller activities available. Room was the perfect size and great setup for the views and with bathroom and eating area.

We were there on 2 cold days in March but our room was warm with a heater and electric blankets. Very comfortable beds and an onsen in the room. We had a beautiful view out our window and in nice weather it would be lovely to sit outside but not on this visit. You eat downstairs in a pleasant dining room. The 2 dinners were fabulous and well prepared but we couldn't eat much of the breakfast (it was all Japanese), other guests loved it. But on the second day the cooks made us a delicious breakfast that kept us going all day. The owner is very helpful, he cares a lot about his guests, he's still working on the place and it will be really nice when it's done.
