The hotel seems brand new, and the rooms are nicely set up with tatami mats and comfortable beds. Just like in a ryokan, you leave your shoes at the entrance. This gives the hotel a very cozy feel despite its size. The staff is extraordinary. I never had to wait to talk to a staff member and they were very helpful. The onsen is one of the best I experienced in larger hotels like this. It is a very nice oasis to come back to after a long day. I particularly liked that they also have a sauna. The location is ideal. There are lots of restaurants and bars literally right outside the hotel, the lake and the castle are both just a short stroll away. If I come back to Matsue, I will stay here again for sure.

The interior was really cozy and the hosts were extremely friendly. There’s also a cafe bar so you can get a coffee or night cap which was lovely. There’s also hosts also made great suggestions for places to go for dinner and trails we could go on a walk on. The breakfast was also delicious. Absolutely recommend this place for your quiet getaway to Tsuwano.

Loved this place. Amazing location and such a well designed dorm room. As a bonus the owner is delightful.

Matatagpuan ang Inishie no Yado Keiun sa Izumo, sa loob ng 2.3 km ng Inasa Beach at 3.2 km ng Hamayama Park. Clean, quiet, great food, staff very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable, I loved the onsen in our room, and the self grinding coffee was excellent, beautifully decorated.

Our stay at 喜庵 KIAN the guest house by the castle was exceptional and a true delight. Located in a quiet alley in view of the Matsue Castle, our host Emi provided a warm welcome and was very helpful in suggesting (in English) interesting places to visit in the area. Our tatami room was clean and comfortable with AC and free WiFi. The kitchen provided a refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster oven, tea pot and tea, a table and chairs, and kitchen sink.

The box for breakfast is printed some local words and you can learn some local languages from it. Our seats capture the beauty of Lake Shinji. It’s a very pleasant stay.

Kio was a phenomenal host! When we booked this stay, we didn't realize that it was more like an air-bnb. The home is shared with Kio and her mom, but we had our HUGE private living quarters and bathroom all to ourselves. We had complete privacy unless they were serving food or we had questions. We were so well taken care of that it was the most personable experience we had while traveling around Japan. We really felt at home. The personal touches and amenities were the best as well as the treats and tea upon arrival. Don't hesitate to book a breakfast in the morning... so delicious! Plus, the town is so sleepy that there was nothing to eat in walking distance. The wood fireplace was my favorite detail and being just steps from the beach was such a treat. Make sure to explore Omoricho during your stay here and stay for at least 2 nights!! Thank you so much for this wonderful experience! We hope to be back some day soon!!
