There was a Mega Don Quijote store right across the street, and another Don Quijote inside the plaza where the hotel is located. Besides that, it was in a very central part of Shibuya. However, if you plan to use the subway or arrive from the airport with luggage, walking from the station to the hotel might be a bit difficult, since it’s not right next to the station but about a 5–6 minute walk. I’d recommend keeping that in mind. The hotel was very clean, and the staff were very helpful. We had a few different situations with our luggage, and they assisted us every time. We honestly couldn’t find any negative points about the hotel. The only thing is that it was a bit expensive compared to nearby hotels. Also, the room was somewhat small. Did it work for us? Yes, because I kept the room very tidy. But if you don’t keep things as organized, you might feel a bit cramped with luggage. Still, it wasn’t a big problem.

It was a great place to stay while in Tokyo for the marathon. As an American, I found it spacious enough for one, two or maybe three people. More could certainly stay there, but it would be crowded. It was nice to have the kitchenette and the washing machine, which both saved me money. While it is on a busy street, it faces the quiet business courtyard of Shinjuku Eastside, which was pleasant and quiet.
