We recently had the pleasure of staying at S and D homestay in Nuwara Eliya and it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the friendly and helpful owner and his amazing family, who ensured a warm welcome and served for us delicious lunch (the dining experience was truly a delight). One of the highlights of this homestay is its’ beautiful view from the terrace: you can sea the Lovers Leap waterfall and tea plantations (walking distance). The room is spacious and cosy, even with the patchwork rug on the floor. There’s also a nice common living room. Overall, our stay at S and D Homestay was exceptional. The combination of the hospitable family, delightful meals, beautiful view and the refreshing cool air made it a remarkable experience.

Also great breakfast in the morning and they allowed for a slightly later check out which wasn’t needed but good to know.

They can organize transportation, excursions or give suggestions. This is a private house, not in city center, but it gives you local atmosphere and very easy to go by local bus to or from center. It takes 10 min and costs close to nothing. Very delicious breakfast and dinner, if you ask for that.

Short walk from Grand Cafe where we went for Afternoon Tea. Very modern rooms. Common area with fridge, dining area, a couch and TV. Rooms have hot water. Just wait about 30 minutes between showers so that the hot water doesn't run out for the next person. Hosts are very kind and accomodating. Our rooms were one floor up so we did have to walk up a set of steps.

The next morning, we were treated to an absolutely incredible breakfast. The entire stay was flawless—smooth check-in and check-out, spotless cleanliness, and a wide range of services available. The villa also offers super-fast WiFi, streaming channels in the room, and spacious, beautifully designed accommodations. If you're looking for a peaceful yet luxurious escape near Nuwara Eliya, this is the perfect spot. Highly recommended! 🌿✨

Gististaðurinn er með aðgang að verönd, ókeypis einkabílastæði og ókeypis WiFi. beautiful interior, lots of space both in the room and common area. everything was really clean, and i got a towel that is actually soft and dries my hair for the first time in sri lanka. big kitchen with a lot of tools if you want to cook, and super kind and attentive Mr. Madusanka. really kind neighbors next door who helped me find my lost bag as well (shout out to pedro stay uncle!) also can see amazing stars outside as well!

Our room was spotlessly clean and cozy, with an absolutely charming flower-filled balcony that made sunrise magical. Our host, Sanjaya, went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. He was so welcoming and caring, taking us to a gems shop and patiently waiting while we explored, helping us find perfect jackets, bringing us to amazing local restaurants, and showing us around Nuwara Eliya. The next morning after serving us a delicious homemade breakfast, he kindly drove us to the train station himself. What makes this place truly special is how the whole family makes you feel at home. If you want more than just accommodation but a genuine cultural experience with the kindest hosts, don't look further. Our highest recommendation! ✨
