Luxury Tents in Al Mintirib

The camp is in a wonderful area that is very quiet and secluded, yet not too far away. The firepit sitting was wonderful. The domes and tents were clean, comfortable, and of high standard. Dinner and breakfast were both filling and tasty. Salim and Humaid were extremely gracious hosts. I literally could not ask for anything better! Overall this was an exceptional stay!

I highly recommend staying a night at this camp as it is spotless and calm.

We've been looking to find a great desert camp for one night, as we really wanted to view the "desert" and its beautiful sand dunes. After reading a couple of reviews and prices, we decided to stay at Alsarmadi Desert Camp, because most people loved the friendly staff hosting this camp. And the reviews were right! Unluckily our daughter turned sick during our stay in Oman, and we were not sure if we could make it in time to the meeting up (desert pick-up by 4wd-car). Prior the trip we went to a doctor, so we couldn't respect the schedule. but that wasn't a problem, the driver al farouk was super friendly and told us, that we should just text him the time of our arrival and he'd pick us up. as soon as we made it to the camp, we could see a baby camel, and were greeted by baby goats, that we could feed. we loved it, and so did our daughter. the camp is very clean, the rooms are spacious, and every tent has its own bathroom (very basic, but great for a desert). the location is perfect...all you see is sand. there are no other camps around, and you don't see any villages from the camp. the manager/owner Saeed was also super welcoming. The whole staff: camel guide, and cooking staff, were super welcoming. We had dinner and breakfast and couldn't complain. our favorite part was the sunset.. which is quite specacular, watching it from a sanddune.

We had a wonderful stay at Saddam’s campground and couldn’t recommend it more highly. The location is beautiful and very peaceful, with total privacy and stunning views for both sunset and sunrise. At night, the sky was full of stars, and it truly felt like being alone in the desert in the best possible way. The accommodation itself was spotless and extremely comfortable. The bed was honestly one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in, and we slept incredibly well both nights. Everything was clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully set up, making the stay feel easy and relaxing from the moment we arrived. Saddam is an exceptional host. He is warm, kind, and genuinely cares about his guests. When our car got stuck in the sand, he immediately came to help without hesitation. He also cooked us a delicious traditional Yemeni meal, including shakshuka, and was a pleasure to talk to throughout our stay. His hospitality truly made the experience special. If you’re visiting the area , I would absolutely recommend staying here. The combination of comfort, location, and Saddam’s kindness made this a memorable and unique experience.

I had an unforgettable stay at Layali Camp! Everything was perfect — from the warm hospitality to the stunning desert views. The traditional tent was clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel like family. The sunset view from the dunes was magical, and the camel ride was a truly unique experience. Breakfast was delicious, and having free private parking was very convenient. I highly recommend this camp to anyone looking for a peaceful and authentic desert experience. I will definitely come back again!

We booked tent, but it was more like chalet. Great place to stay, very romantic, aside from main camp. Watching sunrise from the bed was unbelievable. All staff people were were friendly and helpful.

Secluded in the desert, Rashid, Sunil, Jaffar, and team were incredibly kind and attentive. The food was delicious, and the room was very comfortable. Would recommend!

La Duna Desert Camp is perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy the desert but with a bit more comfort. We chose La Duna because instead of authentic bedouin tent since we wanted something cozy and relaxing, and it was exactly that. The camp has a great location: private and peaceful, but still easy to reach. The whole atmosphere is beautiful, warm, and a little romantic, especially in the evening. The food was delivered to our tent and it was absolutely delicious. We didn’t do any activities, but the team was so friendly and enthusiastic that we’re sure a 4x4 trip to the sand dunes with them would be amazing. A big highlight of this camp is the bathroom, it honestly feels like having your own mini spa in the middle of the desert. If you’d like a comfortable, charming, and quiet desert experience, we definitely recommend staying at La Duna Desert Camp.

Everything was amazing from the beginning to the end! We were lucky to have the camp for us only!!! The tent was very confortable and clean! The food was very very delicious! We enjoyed every single minute of our stay there.

This was a highlight for my family - staying a night in the desert. Absolutely a great location , facilities were super nice and very welcoming and kind staff. . Also met Stella- their mascot , joyful golden retriever :) I absolutely would recommend them.

Great place to stay in a desert. Extremely nice staff, helping with everything, answering all the questions. Quick contact via WhatsApp. Great attractions - dune bashing, camel riding, quads driving. Nice dinner - fries, meat, rice, vegetables, humus etc

EVERYTHING - from start to finish: Saeed gave very clear instructions for meeting location and time, helped with delating tires for desert driving and lead us to the camp. When we arrived, the check in was easy and our tent was AMAZING! This location was private - about a 7 minute drive up the dunes from the rest of the camp where we ate dinner and breakfast. The tent location was amazing - took GREAT pictures at sunset and woke up to hot air balloons going overhead. Inside the tent was beautiful - great bed and easy to relax. Bathroom was about 10 steps from the tent and was very nice for the middle of the desert! Dinner and time around the fire was very memorable - Saeed hosted so well, telling us stories and answering questions about life in the desert. We did not take part in the excursions, bc we've ridden camels before, but other guest who did said riding them and also the sand dunes 4 wheeling was a blast! Really enjoyed our time here and Saeed was an INCREDIBLE host!!!

It was an incredible experience being with Hamood and his family. The dinner was lovely and they setup a fire and had the kids play. It was majestic honestly. Hospitality was incredible. Thank you so much.
