It’s important to know that at night, the generators are turned off, so there is no heating. The extra blankets provided are therefore very useful. Aside from that, this was by far the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. The waiter was extremely friendly, and the host was incredibly helpful—he even assisted us throughout the next day in finding great activities in Urubamba, even though we hadn’t booked an additional night. Adorable little llamas are brought near the dome in the morning, making the experience even more magical. And as for breakfast… absolutely incredible. An unforgettable experience! I highly recommend this stay—wow!

HOSTEL INKA PACCHA - cascada inka býður upp á útsýni yfir ána og gistirými með baði undir berum himni, garði og verönd, í um 22 km fjarlægð frá rútustöðinni. Everything was beautiful about the place. It’s a lovely hike away from the town, along the river and that adds to its charm. The hosts are wonderful, the place magical! Right out of a fairy tale book!

Featuring garden views, Glamping Machupicchu Lodge provides accommodation with patio, around 4.3 km from Huayna Picchu. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace and free private parking.

Lucmabamba Cottage is set in Sahuayacu. It is situated 13 km from Huayna Picchu and offers full-day security. The campground features mountain views, a picnic area and a 24-hour front desk.

Salkantay starcamp is set in Anta. The campground has 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom with a shower. The property has an outdoor dining area. Guests at the campground can enjoy a continental breakfast. Wifi was good. It was just us and another pair there so it felt like we had the place to ourselves. The bed was nice ( two twins pushed together with king sheets) and a very nice set of blankets that were very warm. We ate at the place our host told us to go to for dinner and breakfast ( breakfast was included there) and it was delicious. Staying in pods like this does give you little privacy during the daytime but the stars were out in force at night and the view of Humantay was excellent from the property. Washrooms were very clean. We didn’t try the shower but there was an on demand heater. The host was super responsive on WhatsApp which was great!

Offering a garden and garden view, Eco Terra Lodge is located in Santa María, 30 km from Huayna Picchu and 32 km from Machu Picchu Historic Sanctuary. Eco Terra Lodge is a wonderful accommodation with an atmosphere of peace and harmony. The strengths of this place are the amazing natural surroundings, the beautiful rooms with huge windows through which you can see the dawn and a very cozy touch, the super tasty food cooked with great love and experience by the host. Last but not least, the guy who runs the facility is incredibly friendly and available, always smiling and ready to help you. The location is situated a few minutes from Santa Maria and it is a perfect starting point both for various activities organized by the lodge as well as for reaching Hydroelectrica by car/moto/taxi and then walk to Machu Picchu. From here it is also possible to walk a part of Inca Trail. We decided to extend our stay for an extra night since we found a piece of home here! Thanks for everything! Very recommended!
